Man Who Failed to Get a Job at Microsoft

A Jobless man applied for the position of 'office boy' at Microsoft.
The HR manager interviewed him then watched him cleaning the floor as a test.

'You are employed' he said.

'Give me your e-mail address and I'll send you the application to fill in, as well as date when you may start.'

The man replied 'But I don't have a computer, neither an email'.

'I'm sorry', said the HR manager. If you don't have an email, that means you do not exist. And who doesn't exist, cannot have the job.

The man left with no hope at all. He didn't know what to do, with only $10 in his pocket.
He then decided to go to the supermarket and buy a 10Kg tomato crate.

He then sold the tomatoes in a door to door round. In less than two hours, he succeeded to double his capital. 

He repeated the operation three times, and returned home with $60.

The man realized that he can survive by this way, and started to go everyday earlier, and return late. Thus, his money doubled or tripled everyday.

Shortly, he bought a car, then a truck, and then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles. 5 years later, the man is one of the biggest food retailers in the US.

He started to plan his family's future, and decided to have a life insurance.
He called an insurance broker, and chose a protection plan.
When the conversation was concluded the broker asked him his email.

The man replied,'I don't have an email.' 

The broker answered curiously,'You don't have an email, and yet have succeeded to build an empire. Can you imagine what you could have been if you had an e mail?!!' 

The man thought for a while and replied, "Yes, I'd be an office boy at Microsoft !!"

Ketika satu pintu tertutup, pintu lain terbuka. Namun terkadang kita melihat dan menyesali pintu tertutup terlalu lama sehingga tidak melihat pintu lain yang telah terbuka.

Jangan pernah berhenti berusaha dan jangan menyerah karena gagal, serta berani melangkah.

Apa Jawaban Anda? (Sebuah Renungan)

Ini adalah sebuah pertanyaan bagus, cobalah menjawab.....
 
Anda sedang menyetir sendirian dengan mobil kecilmu, tengah malam, hujan deras
dan banyak guntur dan petir. Agak jauh dari perumahan penduduk.
 
Tetapi tiba-tiba, mobil anda di stop oleh 3 orang yang yang sedang menunggu tumpangan:
1. Perempuan tua yang sekarat, butuh bantuan darurat
2. Seorang teman lama, yang pernah menyelamatkan hidup anda
3. Partner yang sempurna, yang anda impikan selama ini.
 
Orang yang mana yang anda pilih, untuk ikut bersama anda.
Karena mobil anda kecil, jadi hanya muat satu orang bersama pengemudi.
 
Pikirkanlah baik-baik!!!!

sebuah dilema moral, untuk memilih yang terbaik bagi anda dan sesama.
* Membawa wanita tua itu, karena butuh pertolongan  darurat (dia tidak punya banyak waktu menunggu), atau
* Memilih teman lama, yang pernah menyelamatkan hidup anda, ini adalah waktu yang tepat untuk membalasnya.
* atau Parrtner yang sempurna, yang belum tentu akan ketemu lagi seumur hidup.
 
Telah banyak yang menjawab pertanyaan ini, dan
mereka memilih yang terbaik menurut mereka.
Tetapi telah ditemukan 1 jawaban yang mengejutkan....

A Child's Ten Commandment to Parents

1. My hands are small; please don't expect perfection whenever I make a bed, draw a picture, or throw a ball. My legs are short; please slow down so that I can keep up with you.

2. My eyes have not seen the world as your have; please let me explore safely: don't restrict me unnecessarily.

3. Housework will always be there. I'm only little for a short time-please take time to explain things to me about this wonderful world, and do so willingly.

4. My feelings are tender; please be sensitive to my needs; don't nag me all day long. (You wouldn't want to be nagged for your inquisitiveness.) Treat me as you would want to be treated.

5. I am a special gift from God; please treasure me as God intended you to do, holding me accountable for my actions, giving me guidelines to live by, and disciplining me in a loving manner.

6. I need your encouragement, but not your praise, to grow. Please go easy on the criticism; remember, you can criticize the things I do without criticizing me.

7. Please give me the freedom to make decisions concerning myself. Permit me to fail, so that I can learn from my mistakes. Then someday I'll be prepared to make the kind of decisions life requires of me.

8. Please don't do things over for me. Somehow that makes me feel that my efforts didn't quite measure up to your expectations. I know it's hard, but please don't try to compare me with my brother or sister.

9. Please don't be afraid to leave for a weekend together. Kids need vacations from their parents, just as parents need vacations from kids. Besides, it's a great way to show us kids that your marriage is very special.

10. Please take me to Sunday school and church regularly, setting a good example for me to follow. I enjoy learning more about God.

3 Fakta Dalam Kehidupan Steve Jobs

6 tahun yang lalu, di University Stanford, dia memberikan kuliah umum yang menceritakan tentang 3 kisah hidupnya.

1. Umur 20an: bagaimana dia drop-out kuliah karena masalah biaya tapi drop-in kuliah gratis dimana dia masuk kelas pelajaran yang disenangi saja, di antaranya kelas kaligrafi, yang mengilhami dia membuat font/huruf untuk produk Apple yang begitu bagus.

2. Umur 30an: bagaimana pemegang saham Apple mendepak dia dari perusahaannya (karena visinya untuk menciptakan produk Mac untuk semua
orang ditentang), hingga dia stress dan hampir putus asa. Lalu dia membuat perusahaan sendiri, NeXT, lalu Pixar. Akhirnya Pixar diakuisisi oleh Walt Disney dengan tukar saham yang menjadi Steve Jobs pemegang saham pribadi terbesar di Walt Disney!

3. Umur 50an: bagaimana dia terdeteksi kanker pankreas dan umurnya tinggal 6 bulan, tapi ternyata bisa dioperasi dan umurnya bisa dipanjangkan hingga bertahun-tahun. Pesan Steve: Tidak ada orang yang
ingin mati. Bahkan orang yang ingin ke surga pun tidak ingin cepat-cepat mati untuk menuju kesana. Tapi kematian adalah arah yang pasti akan dihadapi semua orang. Kematian adalah penemuan terpenting dalam hidup. Hidupmu ada limit waktunya.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
